This year, Weardale Railway’s Santa Express is thrilled to announce that they have quadrupled our capacity to accommodate the high demand for our enchanting Christmas experience. After tickets sold out by August last year, the heritage Railway listened to their customers and took steps to expand the event, ensuring that more families could join them for a magical time.

‘To make the Santa Express bigger and better, we’ve added extra dates and additional trains to the schedule, and due to unprecedented demand, we’ve just released additional carriages, as our VIP experience has proven particularly popular.” continued Wayne.

Event Details:
Trains run for 22 days through November and December, with four trains per day on weekends and two on weekdays. These are fully ticketed events with limited capacity, so pre-booking is essential.
