Tindale Triangle Improvements

Stronger Towns Fund

Due to current congestion at Tindale for both residents and visitors at peak times, a new improved junction at A688/West Auckland Road junction will be implemented to provide improved access to the south western gateway to the town as well as the new retail park.

The project will include improvements for pedestrians and cyclists on the south western gateway into the town around the Tindale Crescent retail and leisure scheme.

The improvements will help accelerate the delivery of a leisure park development including multiplex cinema, bowling alley and restaurants. Significant levels of new car parking and access improvements are also required to meet the envisaged visitor numbers.

There will also be road infrastructure improvements at key road junctions which are currently inadequate to accommodate the projected visitor numbers.

The project will help to facilitate the delivery of the new retail and leisure complex which will create jobs and retain expenditure in the local economy.
