The Auckland Project have re-levelled the surface and re-aligned the desire lines of the Broadwalk, the grand approach which leads towards Auckland Palace, the Walled Garden and the Deer Park. The work was carried out in two parts, and the newly resurfaced Broadwalk was revealed in autumn 2023. The Broadwalk now provides easy access to the Deer Park and an impressive approach to Auckland Palace, to be enjoyed by both residents and visitors to Bishop Auckland.
