Bishop Auckland Pride Festival Returns for a Second Year

Baccanalia is excited to announce the return of Bishop Auckland Pride, taking place on Saturday, 14th June 2025.

This free all-day celebration at Bishop Auckland College will once again transform the campus into a joyful explosion of music, creativity, and unapologetic pride. Expect a day packed with heart, soul, and pure community magic.

Back for its second year, Pride returns with even more to see, do, and celebrate — building on last year’s unforgettable debut with an epic line-up of entertainment, activities and surprises.

What’s in store:

Live music, drag, and show-stopping performances

Creative workshops, art, and interactive exhibitions

Family-friendly fun, picnic spots, and playful spaces

Street food, community stalls & fabulous finds

The festival is part of a wider Bishop Auckland Pride programme, which will include a series of fringe events and themed activities throughout the town in the lead-up to the main celebration.

“As a company that supports local growth and community, we’re thrilled to be collaborating with Bishop Auckland College again. This year’s Pride Festival takes LGBTQ+ celebration and pushes it further into fostering pride in our community, our working-class heritage, and each other.” Thomas Wales – Baccanalia

“We’re proud to host Bishop Auckland Pride once again. It’s more than just a celebration—it’s a powerful symbol of inclusivity, progress, and togetherness. Our students benefit greatly from being part of something so meaningful.” Shaun Hope – College Principal

For the second year running, Bishop Auckland Town Council has contributed generously to the Pride programme, supporting local regeneration, economic growth, and social cohesion for the people of Bishop Auckland and its visitors and businesses.
